We recommend to start introducing solids around the age of 6 months as this is the time when your baby’s gut is ready to digest the ingredients and when most babies have reached the developmental steps they need to be ready for feeding themselves.
Some babies might be ready earlier, so the best thing is to look out for these signs:
- They can almost sit without support and have good neck control.
- They can coordinate grasping for food and putting it to their mouth.
- They look at food you are eating and will grasp for it.
- Their tongue does not automatically push out food they have been given.
